Kate Schlauch is an event manager, creative producer, and project manager with a broad spectrum of experience in special events, red-carpet premieres, live music, experiential activations, integrated marketing campaigns, and marketing content production. She’s a creative problem solver and strong collaborator with a knack for transforming big ideas into reality, driven by a passion for crafting unparalleled experiences that seamlessly bridge the gap between creators, brands, and audiences.
As a freelance event manager since 2010, she has conceptualized, planned, and executed large-scale events and ticketing operations for clients including Creative Riff, Disney Branded Television, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and more.
In her role as Marketing Manager at Meow Wolf, she produced integrated marketing campaigns, events, activations, and content. Highlights of her achievements at Meow Wolf include successfully managing the design, production, and launch activations of the company's first-ever hot air balloon at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and co-producing the location's first fully integrated marketing campaign, resulting in record-breaking visitor numbers.
In her previous role at The Theatre at Ace Hotel, she oversaw over 200 high-profile events each year. Past events include David Lynch's Festival of Disruption, Sundance NEXT FEST, and MTV Unplugged. In her role with Sundance Institute, she served as the Manager of Industry and Alumni Relations, supporting the Institute's work with everyone from studio executives and Academy Award winners to first-time filmmakers and recent grads. To further this work at Sundance, she created a new film sales tracking database and started in-depth research and seasonal reports on the changing landscape of distribution. This data informed Institute initiatives and the development of new resources for alumni filmmakers and producers.
